Ted Ganung

The Grass is Always Greener

Ted Ganung is a singer/songwriter/producer. Growing up in Hawaii he played keyboard, guitar, and bass in various reggae bands. He attended the University of Hawaii where he studied classical guitar. Yet everything changed while studying in London. In London he was heavily influenced from the electronic music that he heard all around him and from his professor of composition, Alan Stones. Now Ted is living in New York City where he plays gigs and is engaged in several other music projects.

He met Gioti V upon moving to New York and he helped co-produce the vocal take of summer never came by adding his own vision which is backed within his knowledge of the electronic music movement within Europe. Also Gioti V helped to perfect the mix of Perfect words. Gioti V was born in Athens and lives in Donousa half of the year while he spends the other half of the year in New York City. He is an electronic music producer who study sound design at NYU.

The EP Grass is always greener features four dub reggae and downtempo vocal tracks. Instrumental versions are also included as bonus tracks for those who likes to enjoy the dub versions as well.

With only two words we can say that this EP is a great combination of modern dub combined with roots and classic reggae mixed up and cooked and spiced with downtempo electronica with charming vocals over the songs.

This release is available exclusively as a digital download and special edition CDR at Kraak Store.
