Ted Ganung

Pass the light

Ted Ganung is a DJ/producer. Growing up in Hawaii he played keyboard, guitar, and bass in various reggae bands. Now Ted is based of NYC where he can be found doing DJ sets around the city as well as performing live with his own band. The EP "Pass The Light" was engineered by LA based DJ/producer Tate Hall who has an extensive background of studio work with live and electronic instruments. Ted and Tate were best friends in High School and started their first band together in Hawaii before they both left the island in search of inspiration and new music. The live woodwind instruments on the EP were played by Atsushi Ouchi a NYC based Jazz Musician who is also part of Ted's live band. The cymbals on the track "Pass The Light" were played by Ted's second cousin/drummer of his NYC based band, Alec Sisco.

After his first successful EP “The grass is always greener” which was a hit on i-tunes and other online shops around the globe Ted Ganung is back again on Kraak Records with his totally new EP under the name “Pass the light” which features four new songs for on the floor concept with dub & reggae orientated vibes. This time his sounds are also influenced by urban sounds and downtempo paths. His vocals are always etherial and full of light. Also the instrumental versions are included so you can also enjoy the dub versions. With only a few words we can say that this EP is a great combination of modern urban dub combined with dub & roots cooked and spiced with electronica & charming vocals.

This release is available exclusively as a digital download and special edition CDR at Kraak Store.
