Kalabi

Music for job centres

Music for job centres is an ambient experiment by Kalabi, who is better known for his dub tinged chill out. The album is inspired by Brian Eno, and in particular his Oblique Strategies for creating music. Using unfixed time signatures and shifting layers, melodies shimmer out of the background and fade away, only to be echoed again.

Kalabi has tried to capture the feeling of being 'outside of time' that unemployment creates, a meditative state of repetition, money poor but time rich.

This is the second collaboration of Kalabi with Kraak records, following the ethereal trippy ambient ep of May 2009, Songs for Sox.

Kalabi - Music for job centres will be available in April 14th for sale in special edition CDR and digital download at kraakstore and all mp3 retailers across the internet.

This release will be available exclusively as a digital download and special edition CDR at Kraak Store.
